We perform R&D on biopolymer composites for building materials. Because we need to remove mountains of CO2, literally, and put them somewhere.
Carbon Storage Range - Our composites range from 50-75% net carbon by weight. There is a wide range because a composite that starts off being 75% carbon by weight but includes a material with significant embodied carbon might only be 50% net carbon by weight.
Usefulness - We are targeting the replacement of building materials that are typically made from stone, concrete, or wood with composites that are more carbon-dense for carbon storage.
